City of Ballarat ongoing social activities
Come and try a new activity and soak up the benefits of social connection and exercise.
All classes are $5 per person, excluding the volunteer led Seniors Exercise Park sessions at Lucas Reserve and Mount Pleasant Reserve, which are at no cost. No bookings are required for weekly classes, just turn up and join in the fun!

Dance
Join us for a fun, upbeat dance session that builds strength, balance and mobility while supporting falls prevention.
When: Mondays 10.30-11.30am
Where: Lucas Community Hub – 17 Coltman Plaza, Lucas

The Art of Relaxation
Please note: No Art of Relaxation classes running on Monday 10 August and Monday 17 August
Join us to discover simple techniques to calm your mind and body and to experience guided relaxation and mindfulness exercises. Bring 2 pillows, an exercise mat and a blanket.
When: Mondays from 1-2pm

Strength for Seniors
Join us for gentle and effective exercises that are tailored to your abilities. This class will help you to increase your strength, improve your mobility, and increase bone health.
When: Mondays from 2-3pm

Tai Chi
Join us for gentle Tai Chi movements designed to improve balance, mobility and overall wellbeing.

Join us for free outdoor sessions to boost strength, balance, flexibility, mobility and reduce fall risk. Sessions led by Ageing Well Social Activity Volunteers.

Come and hear from an experienced local exercise physiologist from Ballarat Community Health, to discover proven strategies and exercises to improve your strength, balance, and overall wellbeing in this informative and supportive session.

Ageing Well Winter Warmer Activity Day – Thursday 23 July
Join the Ageing Well Community Connections team for some winter fun.
Wear your 50’s/60’s finest and join us for a fashion show, dancing and entertainment as we chase away the winter blues. Light lunch provided.

Feel confident online with a relaxed, jargon-free workshop presented by the Ballarat Neighbourhood Centre. No technology experience needed! Feel confident online and learn how to update safely, simplify passwords, double-lock accounts and spot scams.
