Alfredton Community Hub (interim name)

When complete, the Alfredton Community Hub (interim name) located at Donegal Drive, will be a community facility that will accommodate a diverse range of users, foster a sense of place, and ensure kindergarten infrastructure meets demand.

The purpose-built community facility will feature three preschool rooms to accommodate 99 children at a time, two community rooms, a meeting room, and associated staff facilities.

The project totals $9.9 million. The State Government is contributing $2.25 million toward the project, with the remainder being sourced from the Ballarat West Developer Contributions Plan ($4.65 million) and City of Ballarat ($3 million).

At the February 2023 Ordinary Council meeting Ballarat company CIQ Construction Management Pty Limited was appointed to undertake the project.

: The project is due for completion in December 23 with facility being operational in the 2024 calendar year.
