The Mayor and Deputy Mayor is a 12-month appointment, the roles are elected, by absolute majority of the Council, each November at a Statutory Meeting. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor 2024/25 were elected at an Unscheduled Statutory Meeting on Monday 18 November 2024.
