Still time to have your say on making Ballarat more inclusive

The comprehensive Inclusive Ballarat campaign has run throughout April and will conclude in early May.
As well as informing an overarching Inclusion Framework, it will also help formulate five different City of Ballarat plans:
- A refreshed Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
- A new Intercultural Plan
- An updated Disability Access and Inclusion Plan
- A new LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Plan
- An updated Ageing Well Plan
City of Ballarat Mayor, Cr Daniel Moloney said Council wants to create a more inclusive organisation and city – from public spaces and events to services, footpaths and roads.
“We heard very clearly from our community during consultation last year that residents want Ballarat to be inclusive for all,” Cr Moloney said.
“I would urge anyone who has some feedback on how to improve inclusivity in the City of Ballarat to provide feedback.”
The City of Ballarat has a variety of ways you can provide feedback on its mySay page including polls, surveys, putting a pin in a map to identify inclusive locations across the city, conversation kits and activity sheets.
Residents can also contribute to idea boards in a range of locations around Ballarat, including the Wendouree Library, Ballarat Neighbourhood Centre and Wendouree Neighbourhood Centre this week.
Responses are being collected until Sunday 8 May. For more information or to have your say, go to mysay.ballarat.vic.gov.au or call the City of Ballarat on 5320 5500.
