Resurfacing works to commence on Eastwood and Peel Streets

Works to resurface Eastwood Street (between Anderson and Humffray Streets), and Peel Street (between Little Bridge and Eastwood Streets) will commence this Sunday, 10 April at 6pm.
Working in partnership with Central Highlands Water, the works form part of road reinstatement that is required for the recently completed main sewer upgrade on Peel and Eastwood Streets.
To complete the works, full road closures will be in place with proper traffic management and detours from Sunday night to the following Thursday night (14 April).
To reduce the impact on users, the works will commence at 6pm each night and finish by 6am the following morning. Full access to users will still be possible during the day and Eastwood Street car park will still be accessible from Grenville and Little Bridge Streets.
Temporary traffic controls and reduced speed limits will be in place until all line markings have been completed. The engaged contractor for the works is Bitu-Mill Pty Ltd.
The total cost of the works is $320,000.
