TOURISM EVENT GRANT PROGRAM NOW OPEN 

The Tourism Event Grant Program (TEGP) addresses key priorities of the Ballarat Events Strategy 2018 – 2028 to support and attract events which:  

  • Increase tourism visitation  
  • Support Ballarat’s liveability and build community pride; 
  • Contribute to building the city’s perception, improving Ballarat’s competitive strengths and unique qualities.  

Who can apply? 

For profit organisations and businesses with a commitment to work collaboratively where possible with other local groups and businesses.  

Applicants may apply for funding amounts between $500 - $20,000 (GST exclusive).  

When can I apply?  

The TEGP is open year-round. Applications are assessed monthly. The program will remain open until all funds are distributed.

2022/23 COMMUNITY IMPACT GRANTS ROUND 1 CLOSING SOON  

Round 1 of the City of Ballarat Community Impact Grant Program for the 2022/23 financial year is open for applications until 5pm Monday 26 September 2022.   

The applications are available for local not-for-profit incorporated organisations, groups, or associations. Non-incorporated groups may also apply if they have an auspice relationship with an incorporated group. 

The program provides up to $20,000 in funding to support community groups and organisations to run projects, programs, events, and other activities or to buy necessary equipment to promote community outcomes in:   

  1. Environmental sustainability     
  2. Healthy, connected and inclusive communities     
  3. Community capacity building

PAYING YOUR RATES BY INSTALMENTS?  

Ratepayers are reminded if they wish to pay their rates in instalments, payment is required by 30 September 2022. 

Please be aware that payments not received by the due date, whether by post, at an agency or in person, will be considered to be payable by 15 February 2023. 

If ratepayers are unable to pay by this date, or are experiencing financial difficulty and wish to discuss the possibility of arranging a suitable payment plan, please call the City of Ballarat’s Customer Service on 5320 5500

Victoria-Albert Streets Precinct Streetscape Improvements open until 23 September 2022 

The City of Ballarat in partnership with the State Government is delivering the Victoria-Albert Streets Precinct Streetscape project. The project aims to deliver a greener, safer and more accessible precinct for Sebastopol residents and visitors. The concept plan aims to capture possible works and items that can achieve this aim. 

As a local resident and/or visitor to the precinct, the City of Ballarat is seeking your feedback on the proposed design.   

Small Parks Improvements Feedback open until 10 October 2022  

City of Ballarat has identified twelve open spaces across the city for upgrade as part of the 2022-2023 Small Parks Improvements Program. Works are intended to improve amenity, attractiveness, usability, provide natural shade and habitat as well as increase pedestrian access and connections. We've completed draft plans and need your feedback as part of the design process ahead of implementation.
