OURBALLARAT

Look out for the City of Ballarat’s ourballarat summer magazine, arriving in your letterbox soon.

The summer edition has a focus on the city’s commitment to reduce the amount of waste and recyclables going to landfill. We want to maximise opportunities for local business to reuse and repurpose recyclables to create valuable new products.

The key to this circular vision is a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), which will receive and sort recyclables for the western Victorian region.

This facility will help us cut waste going to landfill by about 10,000 tonnes a year.

It's a sustainable solution that will also attract new investment and bring innovation and jobs to our region.

We are seeking government support to deliver a Materials Recovery Facility.

Read more about our bid for a more sustainable future in ourballarat summer magazine.
