City of Ballarat as the declared waterway manager for Lake Wendouree hereby gives notice under section 208(2) of the Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic) that all persons and vessels not registered to take part in the Rowing Victoria, Australian Rowing Masters 2022 are prohibited from entering and remaining in the following waters. 

LAKE WENDOUREE - NOTICE OF BOATING ACTIVITY EXCLUSION ZONE 

Waters of Lake Wendouree – Entire Lake.  

The exclusion zone will be in effect from 6:00am Wednesday 18th May 2022 to 6:00pm Sunday 22 May 2022. 

ROAD CLOSURES 

Road Closure for Vintage Car Show, Ballarat Heritage Festival 2022 

Lydiard Street North, Sunday 22 May - Lydiard Street North will be closed from Police Lane to Sturt Street in both directions to all traffic between 7.30am and 5.30pm  

Traffic detours will be in place along Armstrong Street North and Camp Street. 

The Vintage Car Show will be open to all visitors from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, 22 May. 

Armstrong Street South Temporary Road Closure - Ice Skating Rink - Ballarat Winter Festival 

As part of the Ballarat Winter Festival, a pop-up ice-rink will be installed in the heart of the city, located in Armstrong Street South between the Town Hall and Myer.  

Armstrong Street South from Sturt Street to the rear of the Town Hall will be temporarily closed for the ice-rink, including set-up and dismantle, from 6am on Tuesday 14 June until 9pm on Saturday 24 July 2022.  

Please note: 

Access to Bath Lane will be maintained. 

Access to the Myer loading dock will be unimpeded as delivery vehicles will be able to access the loading dock via Dana Street (not Sturt Street).  

The Ballarat Information Centre long vehicle / caravan parking at rear (south) of the Town Hall will be temporarily relocated to the front of the Town Hall in Sturt Street. 

The Taxi Rank outside Myer will be temporarily relocated to two angled ¼ hour car parks out the front of the Central Square Post Office, Phoenix Mall, Armstrong Street South.

AUSTRALIAN ROWING MASTERS 2022 PARKING LANE CLOSURE 18-22 MAY 

One parking lane of the lake side of Wendouree Parade, from the Olympic Rings to St. Patricks Point, will be closed in the lead up to and for the duration of the event.
