New contract for City of Ballarat CEO

Following an annual performance review, councillors have voted to offer Evan King a new contract as CEO of the City of Ballarat for four years plus a one year option.
The decision of council was made at the Council meeting held on 22 March and was in the confidential section of the meeting due to it being a contractual matter.
“This is a real vote of confidence in Evan’s leadership which has provided much needed stability for the organisation,” City of Ballarat Mayor, Cr Des Hudson said.
“He has also brought greater accountability and transparency to the way the City of Ballarat serves the needs of our community. Under Evan’s leadership, we look forward to seeing the organisation continue to deliver against the current Council Plan.”
The new contract is effective from 19 April 2023.
