City of Ballarat welcomes Mount Clear Recreation Reserve Liberal Party funding promise

The City of Ballarat has welcomed last Thursday’s promise from the Liberal Party that it will commit $750,000 to upgrade facilities at the Mount Clear Recreation Reserve if it wins government at the 26 November state election.
City of Ballarat Mayor Cr Des Hudson said the promised funding would upgrade the Mount Clear Recreation Reserve second oval, extending available facilities for the reserve’s user groups including Mount Clear Junior Football Club and Mount Clear Cricket Club.
The Mount Clear Recreation Reserve Upgrade is on the long-term recreation capital plan for the City of Ballarat, with promised funding enabling the project to be brought forward.
Cr Hudson said he hoped to see the funding commitment for upgrades to facilities at Mount Clear Recreation Reserve matched by all sides of politics.
The promise was made via media announcement and media release by Paul Tatchell, Liberal Party candidate for the seat of Eureka at the November 26 state election.
