City of Ballarat welcomes Marty Busch upgrade ALP funding promise
The City of Ballarat has welcomed Thursday’s promise from the Australian Labor Party that it will commit $8.4 million to upgrade facilities at Sebastopol’s Marty Busch Reserve if it retains government at the 26 November Victorian state election.
City of Ballarat Mayor Cr Des Hudson said the $8.4 million promise would help revitalise existing facilities and extend the sporting options at the popular community sporting hub in the heart of Sebastopol.
The Marty Busch Facilities Upgrade is a Tier 3 advocacy priority project of local significance for the City of Ballarat in the Wendouree Electorate.
Cr Hudson said he hoped to see the funding commitment for upgrades to facilities at Marty Busch matched by all sides of politics.
The promise was made via media announcement and release by Juliana Addison, the Member for Wendouree and ALP candidate at the November 26 state election.
