Assistance for business to welcome back visitors under a vaccinated economy

The City of Ballarat has introduced three initiatives to help Ballarat businesses prepare to attract and welcome back metropolitan visitors in a vaccinated economy.
Training of frontline staff on the new regulations to ensure a seamless entry into venues, carried out in conjunction with Ballarat Regional Tourism using resources provided by the Industry Strengthening Fund.
Extending the Ballarat Libraries passport training sessions to assist visitors and residents to upload their COVID-19 Vaccine Digital certificates onto the State Government Vic App site
Amplifying Visit Victoria’s #travelkind campaign
Library staff will be located at Sovereign Hill over the next three weekends to help visitors print or download their vaccination certificate to the App.
Ballarat businesses who encounter customers who need assistance with their certificates can direct people to the Ballarat Library to book the next available free 45-minute help session.
Sessions at the Ballarat Library (178 Doveton Street North Ballarat) will be available from 9.30am-3.00pm for the next three weekends both Saturday and Sunday.
City of Ballarat CEO, Evan King said the above initiatives are aimed at providing business and visitor support as our City prepares to open its doors to travellers under a new set of regulations.
“These actions are to support the local industry and visitors as we negotiate the new COVID safe operations,” he said.
