Social Policy

Social policy aims to improve people's wellbeing, especially the welfare of those who experience disadvantage. Social policy is about how we work, live and spend our time.

Social policy helps determine how we come together to meet human needs, such as housing, employment, education, recreation, leisure, health, safety and the care of children.

Our Social Policy Framework highlights our principles, considerations, roles and responsibility for policy development in social concern and wellbeing areas.
