Victoria park

Lake Esmond

Originally a quarry for the local Eureka Tile Works until 1982, Lake Esmond was replanted and revived as a lake and reserve. A large area of surrounding parkland includes an adventure playground, walking track BBQs and toilets, treed areas and open space. The Ballarat Cycling Action Plan is one of a suite of plans that will help transition Ballarat to a more sustainable transport future. Central to the plan is the Ballarat Bicycle Network which establishes a network of continuous, safe cycling routes linking key destinations across our city. The plan aims to actively encourage more people to take up riding.
