SHARED WALKING AND CYCLING PATH WORKS

Work at the Dawson and Sturt Streets intersection to complete the shared walking and cycling path is now underway. As part of traffic signal upgrades, asphalt resurfacing works will commence on Tuesday 5 March and are expected to be completed by Friday 8 March 2024.

The works will be completed at night to reduce disruption to motorists. Road closures and detours will be in place. Please follow the signage on site.

MORGAN STREET SEBASTOPOL

Reconstruction works have recently commenced on Morgan Street, Sebastopol. Approximately 380 metres of Morgan Street, between Crown Street and Grant Street will be widened and raised to allow for more traffic and assist in water flow to the drainage basin and decreasing flooding events.

The road will be closed for approximately 8 weeks, traffic management will be in place and access to residences and the Early Learning Centre remains. Thank you for your patience.

CFA BASE CAMP – VICTORIA PARK

The City of Ballarat is assisting Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMV) and the Country Fire Authority (CFA) to host a base camp in Victoria Park.

There will be road closures in and around the park beginning from Monday 26 February to facilitate the traffic management needed for the camp, until further notice.

The City of Ballarat will work with the community and sporting organisations to coordinate any impacts.

Events planned to take place at Victora Park over the coming month are not expected to be impacted by the base camp's establishment.

The camp will provide much-needed facilities to firefighters who are currently working to contain fires to the west of Ballarat including showers, toilets, laundry, kitchen and accommodation.

For more information, see our media release.
