Creswick Road car park closure

The City of Ballarat has been advised by the landowner of the Creswick Road Car Park that they will be taking possession of the site from 15 May 2023. This is due to the landowner commencing preliminary works for a new retail development.
The car park was constructed using State Government funding allocated to the CBD Car Parking Action Plan. The site was leased by the City of Ballarat for a three-year term from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2020, with two one-year extensions ending on 31 December 2022.
With the lease expiring at the end of December, the City of Ballarat had a month-by-month arrangement pending commencement of works at the site.
City of Ballarat Mayor Cr Des Hudson said it was important to inform the community of the car park’s upcoming closure.
“With the landowner soon taking possession of the site, it is important for the community to be aware that the car park will no longer be available for parking from 13 May,” he said.
“In the meantime, the City of Ballarat will continue to work with Regional Development Victoria to deliver additional car parking in Ballarat’s CBD.”
