City of Ballarat welcomes Prince of Wales Park and Buninyong Netball Court funding announcement

The City of Ballarat has welcomed Thursday’s promise from the candidate for the federal seat of Ballarat, Paula Doran that the federal Coalition will commit $600,000 toward upgrades to hockey facilities at Prince of Wales Park and $600,000 for two new netball courts at Buninyong Recreation Reserve should it win government at the 3 May federal election.
City of Ballarat Deputy Mayor Cr Ben Taylor said upgrades to both facilities were needed and were priorities for City of Ballarat.
“These venues will be well-used by local hockey and netball players. Council’s hope is that the ALP will match this promise so that funding for the facilities is guaranteed regardless of the outcome of the election”.
