The new Grants Policy replaces the previous ad hoc sponsorship and funding arrangements.
This policy provides a more consistent, streamlined approach for community groups and organisations seeking funding for programs, events, products and services that bring a wide range of social, environmental and economic benefits to Ballarat.
Up to $25,000 for projects, festivals, events or activities that advance and encourage increased visitation, participation and yield and/or contribute to the presentation or marketing of Ballarat as a tourism destination of choice.

Note: Grant submissions must be received at least 3 months prior to the event being held to allow adequate time for the review and decision making processes.
Community Impact Grants Program
Up to $10,000 for projects that develop partnerships with the community and provide sustainable opportunities for participants and/or projects where the grant money assists in either the implementation of projects, events, activities, or in funding non-fixed capital items and equipment. This grants program is open in four rounds, with programs to be placed on hold when funds are fully allocated. Round 4 of the 2017/2018 Community Impact Grant Program will open on 1 April, closing at 5.00pm on the 30 April.
