Gillies Road reconstruction works
Reconstruction works on a 4.2 kilometre section of Gillies Road, from Addington Road to Glendonald Road at Ascot, have begun.
There will be a temporary closure of this section of the road until mid-December, weather permitting.
Electronic signage boards are in place to advise motorists of the works. Traffic management and detours via Creswick will also be in place.
The City of Ballarat has notified directly impacted residents.
The reconstruction will widen the road with two 3.5m-wide traffic lanes and 1.5m-wide road shoulders, bringing the link road up to modern standards and improving safety for road users.
Notification of works: Bridge Mall
The City of Ballarat will be conducting works in the Bridge Mall to repair bluestone pavers on the carriageway. This work will be conducted in two stages, with phase 1 scheduled to begin on Monday, 6 October and phase 2 rectification works to start week beginning 13 October.
