Community Local Law Review – drop-in sessions
The City of Ballarat is currently reviewing the Community Local Law. Under the Local Government Act, councils are required to review their local laws every 10 years to ensure they remain relevant, effective, and aligned with community expectations. Ballarat’s current Community Local Law must be reviewed and replaced by the end of 2027.
The City of Ballarat is seeking community feedback on:
- Experiences with the current Community Local Law
- Ideas to improve how local laws are communicated and understood
- Streamlining permit application processes to improve business engagement with the council.

Pet of the week: Gregory
About Gregory
I am a lovely, easy going gentleman looking for a quiet home to retire in. I can take some time to warm up to you but once I know you and feel comfortable I will show you my true personality.
I am affectionate and will come over to you for pats when I want them. I am happy to relax and spend the day in my bed just keeping you company and living the quiet life.
I can happily share with other cats for company. I need to be an inside cat to protect my white features from the sun.
