MR Power Park carpark upgrade to commence

Works to upgrade the MR Power Park carpark are set to commence, with temporary fencing to be installed from Friday, 14 August. All major elements within the reserve such as the play space, skate park, and dog off lead area will remain open for the duration of the works. The toilets and seniors’ gym will remain open for much of the time but may be required to close for a brief period while connecting paths are constructed and planting works are undertaken.

During construction, access to the toilets, skate park and play space will be to the north of the Phoenix Centre (red arrow), and access to the off-lead dog area will be via the gate on Grant Street (blue arrow).  Visitors to the facilities will need to utilise on-street parking during this period.

Pet of the week: Maggie

Large Female German Shepherd Dog Mix Dog

About Maggie

Meet Maggie, a delightful dog who perfectly balances her love for affection with an independent spirit. She adores human company and will happily soak up all the love you have to offer.

Maggie will require a securely fenced yard to keep her safe while she explores her space. Maggie would be suitable in a multi-dog household. Maggie must go to a household without cats.

Maggie is a playful girl who delights in playing with her toys, she will benefit from daily exercise and mental enrichment. Her intelligence is one of her standout traits, as she quickly picks up on basic commands and has already mastered toilet training.

Maggie is good when walking on lead, but she can get a bit over-stimulated when encountering other dogs on a walk, so a strong and capable owner who can manage her size with confidence and patience will be best.

If you're looking for a smart, loving, and playful dog, Maggie might just be the perfect match for you!
