Finding Freedom: Diversity in Community

For Refugee Week 2025, the Refugee Council of Australia will continue our three-year theme of Finding Freedom, with a focus on diversity in community to emphasise the vital role community plays in all our lives, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, language, disability, sexuality and age.

Youth Cook-up

Please join us for our Youth Cook-Up: a fun and free event for Refugee Week, hosted by CMY’s Youth Advisory Group. Get creative in the kitchen or watch on while getting to know other young people. Enjoy a delicious meal together once our chefs are done! Participants must be aged 12 - 25.

Finding Freedom with Sidiqa

Sidiqa is a Refugee Ambassador of Australia. She will share her inspiring journey from being forced to flee her homeland in 2013 to working tirelessly to initiate change for refugee rights.
