Finding Freedom: Diversity in Community
For Refugee Week 2025, the Refugee Council of Australia will continue our three-year theme of Finding Freedom, with a focus on diversity in community to emphasise the vital role community plays in all our lives, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, language, disability, sexuality and age.

Youth Cook-up
Please join us for our Youth Cook-Up: a fun and free event for Refugee Week, hosted by CMY’s Youth Advisory Group. Get creative in the kitchen or watch on while getting to know other young people. Enjoy a delicious meal together once our chefs are done! Participants must be aged 12 - 25.

Finding Freedom with Sidiqa
Sidiqa is a Refugee Ambassador of Australia. She will share her inspiring journey from being forced to flee her homeland in 2013 to working tirelessly to initiate change for refugee rights.

Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council Community Celebration Event
All are welcome! Join us for an unforgettable event celebrating Refugee Week 2025! Through powerful stories and a live performance by the Ballarat Steiner School Children’s Choir. Morning tea and a light lunch provided.
