City of Ballarat deliver programs and services which support mental wellbeing by increasing inclusion, participation, and community capacity.

The provision of equitable and accessible community infrastructure including libraries, community hubs, performing arts, early years and recreation facilities is also an essential element to supporting the community’s wellbeing.
Some key programs include:
- Live4Life - Mental health support program delivered in 10 secondary schools, and social connection programs for young people
- Sons and Daughters of the West – Free 10 week wellness program delivered in conjunction with Western Bulldogs Community Foundation
- Community Infrastructure Plan 2022-2037 - Program of planned infrastructure projects.
- Aging Well Social activities, programs and events - Come and try activities for social connection and exercise and Ageing Well team hosted events for our 55+ years community.
- Parent Place - Parent Place is a free, welcoming space for families with young children. We’re here to help you and your child thrive through play, learning, and community connection. Everyone is welcome.
- Ballarat Libraries - Ballarat Libraries hosts free events and programs for all ages, across library branches and around the city.
- Community Hubs - Sign up to our newsletter to receive email updates on activities at the Community Hubs
- Social Inclusion Action Groups - The Wellbeing Promotion Office is establishing Social Inclusion Action Groups in 10 local government areas.
