The City of Ballarat Accessibility Map is an interactive tool integrated with Google Maps designed to assist people with disability, carers, and support workers in easily locating accessible facilities and inclusive venues across the municipality.

Whether you're planning a day out, attending an event, travelling with someone who has high support needs, or simply looking for accessible public amenities, this map helps you locate inclusive facilities and venues across Ballarat.  

It’s especially useful for identifying Changing Places toilets, adult change facilities, accessible attractions, and venues for hire ensuring that everyone can participate fully in community life.

The following things have been highlighted on the map:

  • Changing Places facilities: Fully accessible toilets with adult-sized change tables and ceiling hoists for people with high support needs.
  • Adult Change Facilities: Spacious amenities designed for adults with disability who require assistance.
  • Accessible Public Toilets: Locations sourced from the National Public Toilet Map, meeting national accessibility standards.
  • MLAK Key Locations: locations where Master Locksmiths Access Keys (MLAK) are available for use.
  • Visitor Information Centres: Staffed sites offering local guidance and accessibility support.
  • Assistance Animal Relief Areas: Designated spaces for guide dogs and other assistance animals to rest and relieve themselves.
