Ballarat Transport Guide for Older Adults

The Ballarat Transport Guide for Older Adults is for City of Ballarat’s older residents and visitors. The Guide offers practical information on local transport options that may assist older adults in staying active and connected.

It is not an exhaustive list but has been developed to help people explore transport options available across our community.

It includes information on:

  • Walking, cycling and mobility devices – including paths, infrastructure and mobility aids
  • Public transport – including bus and train services, ticketing, e-bikes and e-scooters
  • Rideshare services – including taxi and uber services
  • Driving in Ballarat – including licensing, parking and transitioning from driving
  • Community transport providers – including services available for eligible individuals
  • Exploring your options – where to find information and educational opportunities

The guide links to trusted sources for detailed, up-to-date information and is reviewed periodically to remain relevant. Limited hard copies are available.
