Gather your family and friends and cheer on the Socceroos as they take on Turkey in their opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Watch the action live on the big screen at Alfred Deakin Place. Please bring your own chair or picnic rug to stay comfortable, dress warmly for the conditions, and enjoy the atmosphere, with heaters available onsite as Ballarat gets behind the green and gold.
Local cafes and hospitality venues in and around the CBD will be open during the afternoon screening, offering a range of food and beverage options to enjoy before, during and after the game.

What to bring: Chairs, blankets, picnic rugs, umbrellas. Seating for this screening is NOT provided.

The screening will go ahead rain or shine but may be cancelled in severe weather such as thunderstorms.

Public toilets are open in Alfred Deakin Place 24 hours a day with accessible amenities.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Please note the site is relatively small and may become crowded.
