City of Ballarat’s Operations and Environment division is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our experienced Road Maintenance team, to deliver quality services to the City of Ballarat.
To be successful in this role you will be a strong 'team player' with the proven ability to work efficiently with others and have a strong work ethic. You will be keen to learn and/or possess the basic skills to be part of an operational team.
You will be rewarded with a competitive salary, a 9 day fortnight. and the opportunity to work within local council. You will also be given the opportunity to undertake training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key Selection Criteria
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need the following experience and qualifications:
A minimum of two years’ experience within a Municipal or Civil Maintenance environment relative to maintenance.
Ability to work in a team-based environment demonstrating and perform duties with minimal supervision
Practical experience in Civil maintenance works or civil engineering practices relating to Road Maintenance activities
Practical knowledge in use of plant and equipment required of the position, Flocon, skid steer, loader operation, backhoe, tipper truck desirable
Ability to demonstrate and display the City of Ballarat values and behaviours
Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
Current Worksite Traffic Management Certificate
Construction Industry Induction White Card
Current Drivers Licence HR preferred
