Monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO)
An opportunity exists for a finance professional to join our Financial Services Team. The role will be responsible for the efficient administration and ongoing enhancement of all accounting and financial reporting systems across Council. This will include the administration, testing and reconciliation of Councils’ high-volume electronic transaction systems as well as responding to customer requests.
To be successful in this position you will have exceptional interpersonal skills, strong computing abilities and an eye for detail, whilst also being an enthusiastic and dedicated team player.
You will be tertiary qualified in Accounting, experienced in the use of integrated accounting and professional software applications, proficient in accounting and reconciliation processes and adept in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Key Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualification in accounting and experience in a financial environment.
Proven abilities in the use of computerised accounting systems along with Microsoft Excel, Access other professional software packages.
Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise a wide range of responsibilities to achieve set objectives within strict timeframes.
Ability to research, interpret and critique financial information.
Highly developed written and verbal communication and advanced interpersonal skills to negotiate and resolve all financial requirements.
Successful completion of CPA/CA or equivalent program.
