About the Position 

  • Two Permanent Full Time positions 

  • Salary between $52,381 -$56,058 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation 

This position plays a key role in contributing to the success of the works group as an internal service provider for the City of Ballarat. The incumbent will provide the expertise to successfully undertake a wide range of maintenance and construction activities and provide the flexibility to support programmed works within other areas of Infrastructure & Environment. 

We are looking to fill 2 Carpenter positions.

Key Selection Criteria  

  • A recognised trade certificate in carpentry/joinery, or equivalent experience, is an advantage.  

  • Some experience working with steel would be an advantage. 

  • Proven ability to provide high quality work within time constraints in the maintenance and construction field. 

  • An understanding and knowledge of current building and work practices. 

  • An understanding of building activities in the municipal, private enterprise or contracting field. 

  • An ability to utilise intermediate computer skills, and familiarity with associated software. 

  • A Victorian Driver’s Licence is essential. 

  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
