WATER RESTRICTIONS

The Ballarat region faces considerable challenges with the ongoing impact of climate change and drought. As at July 2009, Stage 1 water restrictions are currently inforce in Ballarat.

This may change during the year and we recommend you check with Central Highlands Water (CHW) by visiting www.chw.net.au.

What Stage 1 water restrictions mean for Ballarat residents:

  • Hand watering at any time

For a full list of Stage 1 water restricitions and penalties go to www.chw.net.au or phone 5320 3100

Council fully supports the water restrictions put in place by CHW and has put a range of water saving measures in place to reduce Council's own water usage.
