Be led around one of Ballarat’s most important historic precincts with the new Webster Street heritage trail brochure.
Ballarat’s Webster Street heritage precinct has an impressive range of intact houses, hotels, corner shops, education institutions and industrial buildings dating from the early 1860s to the 1940s – all with many stories to tell.
The brochure – Webster Street and the Webster Street Precinct – includes information on the street and its heritage, its history and a story of change – from miners, hoteliers and washerwomen to the establishment of the grand fashionable houses of big business owners.
The brochure also includes a timeline of events that occurred in Australia, Ballarat and around the world, as well as information on the different housing styles that can be found in Webster Street.
Pick up your copy of the Webster Street Precinct heritage trail brochure from Council’s Customer Service Centre, The Phoenix, in Armstrong Street, the Ballarat Town Hall and the Visitor Information Centre in Lydiard Street or download a copy of the Webster Street Brochure here.
