BALLARAT AQUATIC CENTRE - STAGE 2 REDEVELOPMENT
Work on the $4.5 million stage two redevelopment of the Ballarat Aquatic Centre is now complete.
The upgrade was jointly funded by the City of Ballarat, the Victorian Government Better Pools Program and the Federal Government Better Regions Program.
The upgrade includes two new indoor heated pools for aquatic education and rehabilitation, spa, two new group change room facilities, new steam room, improved entry/reception area, extended café and family and universal access change facilities.
The Ballarat Aquatic Centre caters for around 600,000 visits per year. The redevelopment ensures the Ballarat Aquatic Centre has the capacity to cater for the current and projected needs of Ballarat’s community well into the future.
The redevelopment, which took around 12 months to complete, was officially opened on October 10, 2010.
