The Sebastopol West Kindergarten will relocate to the Bonshaw Early Learning Centre in 2018 for the start of the new kindergarten year. The move will provide the existing kindergarten community with a brand new, integrated early years facility with room to expand as the Bonshaw community grows. Eureka Community Kindergarten Association (ECKA) will continue to manage and deliver the kindergarten program at the new centre.
The project is fully funded by $1.6 million from the Victorian Government and will be delivered by the City of Ballarat. Artkit Pty Ltd. has been appointed to design and construct the new centre. The building will be constructed off-site and delivered by the end of 2017.
The Bonshaw Early Learning Centre is one of five kindergarten construction projects under way in the City of Ballarat, with the new Lucas Community Hub and upgrades to Iris Ramsay Kindergarten, Girrabanya Children’s Centre and Mount Pleasant Kindergarten scheduled. The five projects represent a $5.5 million investment from the Victorian Government and $2.4 million from the City of Ballarat.
