Overview
The recreation team play a key role in the planning, implementation and delivery of Council's priorities relating to recreation facilities and services.
The major functions undertaken by the recreation unit are as follows:
- recreation planning
- policy development with respect to recreation matters
- management of aquatic facilities (essentially contract supervision)
- club and general community liaison
- sportsfields management
- playgrounds management
- capital works planning and management
