Christmas in Ballarat


Festive season to arrive in Ballarat at the end of November 2016.Top of document.

The City of Ballarat’s popular floral Christmas reindeer will return to the Sturt Street Gardens, outside Myer. 

This year, families can have their photo taken sitting in the reindeer sleigh.

Our city's Christmas decorations also feature: 

  • Christmas Tree in the 300 block of Sturt Street adorned with decorations and lighting effects for the evening
  • Christmas tree at Bakery Hill which is lit up at night
  • 400 block will feature decorations on the rotunda and a display of giant baubles
  • Giant stars at the Bridge Mall end of Sturt Street
  • 200 block, outside the Ballarat Town Hall, to feature floral santa boots, floral stars and floral trees and the Burke and Wills fountain will by adorned with Christmas ribbon
  • Christmas themed flags, planter boxes and garden beds in Sturt Street
  • Christmas themed garden beds at the Ballarat Botanical Gardens

Our FREE Ferris Wheel is back due to popular demand.

The Ferris Wheel will operate at the Sturt Street end of the Bridge Mall, starting Saturday 3rd December.
