The Ballarat Heritage Awards were first launched in 2010, a key recommendation of Council’s ‘Preserving Our Heritage Strategy’.
The awards are held by the City of Ballarat in partnership with the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) and the local Ballarat Branch of the National Trust. They provide an opportunity to say thank you to the many dedicated owners, businesses, groups and individuals who work tirelessly to conserve Ballarat's significant heritage. The awards have grown since their inception and are held by a number of local councils and National Trust branches across Victoria.
Nominations for the 2017 Ballarat Heritage Awards have now closed.
What a wonderful response to this year’s awards! We have received nominations for a fantastic range of projects across the five categories and look forward to the shortlisting and judging process over the coming weeks.
2017 finalists will be announced on Tuesday 11 April once shortlisting has been completed.
From this date voting will also be open for the newly created National Trust People’s Choice Award, with polling available online and at the Town Hall and Library. Stay tuned for more details!
