Creative Reuse of a Heritage Place - Finalist

Owner: Twaits Construction

Developer: Twaits Construction

NNT Partnership (developer), Twaits Constructions (builder) and Quest Ballarat - Finalists for Creative
Reuse of a Heritage Place

The Dawson Street Heritage listed building which was the former Loreto College dates back to the late 1800's.

Over the years it has undergone many different uses, renovations and extensions.

In October of 2006 Loreto Junior College sold the freehold to NNT Partnership and the college relocated the year 7 and 8 students to the Sturt Street Loreto Campus, where they remain today.

The redevelopment of this heritage building spaned over 5 years and the task of construction was completed in June 2010 by NNT Partnership with Twaits Constructions as the builder - just in time for Quest Ballarat to open on 5th July 2010.

The building now features a range of 55 self contained modern and stylish apartments, a gymnasium, conference facilities and has been successful for both the Corporate and Leisure markets.
