Mr John Murnane has been a roof tiler for over forty years, his area of specialist work is in slate tiling.

John is used extensively by the National Trust and Heritage Victoria. It was in this capacity that John completed the reinstating of the slate roof in Scott Parade.

In 2008 John removed the unsympathetic terracotta tiles from the roof and restored the roof using slate.

This work is a tiny example of the work John has carried out in his working career. It is extremely difficult to find tradespeople of John's calibre someone who takes great pride is the outcomes he achieves.

Many major heritage roof restorations carried out in Geelong, Ballarat and Melbourne have been the work of John Murnane they include- St Mary's Catholic Church Geelong, St Paul's Anglican Church Geelong, St Georges Presbyterian Church Geelong, St. Patricks Hall Ballarat the Dorcas Street Uniting Church South Melbourne.
