Highlights

Maternal and Child Health are offering SATURDAY MORNING APPOINTMENTS for a trial period starting Saturday March 3rd.

The Girabanya centre will be open from 9:00-1:00, for clients of any centre to make appointments. This would be an ideal time for busy families to be able to attend, and may particularly be suitable for the key visits at 12, 18 months and 2 and 3.5 years - all ages welcome!

EARLY YEARS GUIDE FOR BALLARAT

The Early Years Guide  is designed to assist families to locate services available for themselves and their children aged from birth to 12 years of age.

You will find a variety of information including the following: childcare, maternal and child health care, kindergartens and primary schools, specialist childrens' services, family and health services, pregnancy and birth and recreation.

Maps showing parks and playspaces are also available.

Collect you FREE copy of the early years guide from:

  • Ballarat City Council - come in and collect your copy from Customer Service at the Phoenix, 25 Armstrong Street South, Ballarat
  • Central Highlands Regional Library Branches:

MUNICIPAL EARLY YEARS PLAN 2010 - 2013


The City of Ballarat's Municipal Early Years Plan 2010 - 2013 was launched in February 2011. Based on current research, government direction and local stakeholders and community consultations, it outlines the direction needed across Ballarat to improve outcomes for children and further develop Ballarat as a child friendly city.
