Garry Anderson - Prelude to Venetian Street Scenes Part 1
Anderson is an observer and interpreter of contemporary social life, public space and traditions. These new works take on two different modes, in one, through his depiction of vacant, uninhabited parking lots and street scenes he describes the modern landscape. In the other, he describes a world where people are observers looking out, silent witnesses to the happenings of everyday normality.

Deborah Klein: Out of the past 1995 - 2007
A Castlemaine Art Gallery and Historical Museum Travelling Exhibition The first comprehensive survey of Klein's work. It includes selected key works exploring her major thematic concerns and long term preoccupation with feminine identity and women's creative history. Klein is nationally renowned for her figurative works of anonymous female subjects, and her complex visual language, rich in symbols and motifs. R T Walker Gallery - Retrospective Exhibition
New Phoenix Rises - The R.T.Walker Gallery. Professional Ballarat artist Ron Walker has officially opened his gallery/studio at 219 Eureka Street Ballarat. His first exibition is a retrospective of past and present works. Ron has established a reputation as one of Australia's leading fantasy, mythology and environmental artists. The R T Walker Gallery is open from 11am - 5pm each Wednesday to Saturday and 11am to 3pm on Sunday.

Juliette Bradley: Elemental interplay
This exhibition reflects the artists' fascination with the elements of nature and their interactions. Its constantly changing light and mood play a large part in these works. WAX LYRICAL
Wax Lyrical, is a not for profit community event,providing a performance opportunity for songwriters to perform their original works to an audience. Performers are given a 15 minute spot to strut their stuff and each event includes a 30 minute performance from a feature act. Commencing 3 February 2008, Wax Lyrical will be held on the 1st Sunday of the month, kicking off at 2pm & going through to 6pm! The Wax is also held on first Wednesday of the month at Hardiman’s Hotel in Kensington. Whether you’re going to play or not, come along, support our local songwriters and help make the event a success. Entry is free and drinks are available at bar prices.
