AMENDMENT C109 - 31-45 LEARMONTH STREET, ALFREDTON
Planned FX Pty Ltd, on behalf of the Ryan Group, has submitted a combined planning scheme amendment and planning permit application to rezone part of 31 -45 Learmonth Street, Alfredton from Special Use Zone 10 to Business 1 Zone in order to facilitate the development of a neighbourhood shopping centre. The proposal includes the development of a 1500sqm supermarket.
Council has appointed Hansen Partnership Pty Ltd from its Strategic Planning Panel to independently consider the amendment request and, if Council resolves to prepare an amendment, progress the amendment request on Council’s behalf.
In November 2010 Council resolved to seek authorisation from the Minister to prepare a combined planning scheme amendment and planning permit application. The Minister’s authorisation was received in January 2011. Council is now awaiting outstanding information from the applicant before proceeding further with the amendment process.
