Lake Federation

The Lake Federation Resort Amendment C64 proposed to rezone 620 hecares of land west of Alfredton from the Rural Zone to the Comprehensive Development Zone. The amendment was approved by the Minister for Planning in April 2005.

The proposal includes two 18 hole golf courses, shopping centre and retail village, private school, approximately 3,200 dwellings, hotel, motel, golf clubhouses, golf drivng ranges, golf academy, sales and marketing office, lakes with the largest being 40 hectares in area, firestation, railway station, roads, utility services, community recreation and maintenance facilities.
