Permit Use

Use of land refers to using land for a particular purpose (such as a dwelling or a shop) and may or may not include the development of building works.

A use permit is often required when there is an existing building and there is a change of business activity for example, where a warehouse has been previously used for industrial use, and approval is now being sought for a change of use to a motor vehicle repair business.

Permit use may also be required within a multiple of planning zones, such as residential, commercial, industrial.
