FENCING

Half-Cost Fencing

Council policy is to share the costs where the Ballarat City Council is the freehold owner of the adjoining land. With hundreds of hectares of public lands under its control, the City of Ballarat, where possible, financially assists adjoining land owners in the replacement of fences.

Council owned

To determine ownership of adjoining property assumed to be Coucil owned, please forward your request along with contact details and your address via eServices.

Privately owned

To determine ownership of adjoining property which is assumed to be privately owned, please download and print the Request for Property Owner Details for Fencing Purposes form (pdf) and send the completed form to Customer Service by post to PO Box 655, Ballarat 3353 or in person to the Phoenix Building, 25 Armstrong Street South, Ballarat.
