Council Meetings

Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Town Hall (cnr Sturt and Armstrong Street South, Ballarat) and commence at 7.00pm. Agendas, minutes and meetings dates are available under "About Council".

To minimise traffic disruption, traffic is encouraged to use alternative routes where possible, as full and partial road closures will be in place during phases of the works.  Motorists are requested to approach the area with caution and to observe all warning and directional signage.  Inconvenience will be kept to a minimum and your co-operation during this period would be appreciated. 

ROAD CLOSURES FOR BALLARAT WINTERLUDE

Road closures are required for the ice rink’s set-up, operation and take-down.

From Tuesday 14 June to Wednesday 20 July:

  • Armstrong St South will be closed from Sturt St to the rear of the Town Hall
  • Access into Bath Lane will be maintained, coming from the Dana St direction
  • Access to the Myer loading dock will be unimpeded; deliveries will access the dock from the Dana St direction
  • Parking for Ballarat Visitor Information Centre will be relocated from the back of the Town Hall to the front of the Town Hall in Sturt St
  • The Myer taxi rank will be relocated to two car parks directly out the front of the Central Square Post Office, Phoenix Mall, Armstrong St South.

The City of Ballarat utilises an electronic tender listing system.   This system speeds up the tendering cycle and reduces the time and costs for both City of Ballarat and suppliers. To use this system and to access the tenders being called you must first be a registered Supplier.

City of Ballarat wishes to invite organisations to bid for the supply of goods and/or services contained within this system.  As a registered supplier, you can receive email notification of any new tenders we publish, download and view the documentation electronically, and participate in forums to seek clarification or to ask questions.  Where available, submission of your bids can be completed through the e-tender box facility.
