Parent Place Volunteer

 

The City of Ballarat Family & Children’s Services, Parent Place, is looking for energetic, passionate and reliable volunteers.

 Parent Place is a free drop-in family centre located in the Ballarat CBD. It is open from 9am Monday to Friday and offers general support and information about a range of City of Ballarat Family and Children’s services such as Family Day Care, Kindergarten, Playgroups and Immunisation.

 Parent Place is a welcoming environment with books, toys and comfortable seating.

 As a Volunteer with the City of Ballarat, you will have:

  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team with other volunteers and council staff.
  • A non-judgemental attitude toward our clients and their circumstances.
  • Adherence to national privacy principles.


To apply for this position, download the volunteer information pack, and complete the volunteer application form. You will also need to:

  • Provide details of two referees.
  • Have or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check.
  • Commit to attendance at 3 x volunteer meetings per year.
  • Commit to at least 1 x 2 hour shift per week.
  • Complete the City of Ballarat Induction and Volunteer Information form.
