Delacombe will host a free community screening of the ‘Transformers – Dark of the Moon’ movie on Friday night (28/10).
Hosted by Council’s Youth Services BYou, the movie will be shown on Friday 28 October at 7pm at the Doug Dean Recreation Reserve.
City of Ballarat Portfolio Councillor for People and Communities John Philips encouraged residents to pack a picnic and come along and enjoy the free twilight screening.
“The film screening aims to provide young people with an activity that connects them to their local community.
“Not only will the event help Council to engage with those in the Delacombe community, but it will also provide local organisations with the opportunity to showcase their service/club.”
The Victoria Police BUS will be present as well as the Victorian Railway Institute Cricket Club selling BBQ food and soft drink from their club rooms.
There will also be the opportunity to have input into the design of a new youth activity space at the Doug Dean Recreation Reserve.
The event will be hosted by Council’s Youth Services team BYou, FReeZa along with the Delacombe Cricket Club, Delacombe Renewal project, Twilight Cinemas and Victoria Police.
The event is an all ages, drug, smoke and alcohol free event
