Thursday, March 31, 2011, 11:54 AM

A live DJ, community circus, street soccer and henna tattooing are just some of the activities on offer at  Council’s Youth Services ‘BYou and the BUS On Tour’ event this Friday (01/04).

‘BYou and the BUS on tour’ will visit the Miners Rest Community Hall from 5 to 8pm.

On the first Friday of every month Council’s Youth Services BYou crew will be venturing out and about, complete with tunes, the Victoria Police initiative “the BUS” and other great activities.

This free all ages event is smoke, drug and alcohol free.

The Ballarat Community Circus will be there, displaying their talents and sharing their skills. Cambodian Kids Foundation will also come along, selling braided wristbands and pipi dolls.

BYou – Youth Services and Victoria Police have partnered to present a touring series of public events in various locations every month.

The BUS is an interactive youth space that provides recreational opportunities, games and activities both on and off the bus for young people to interact with police and community volunteers. ‘The BUS’ houses a number of computers, gaming consoles and other interactive activities.
