Councillor Samantha McIntosh will welcome two very inspiring men to the City of Ballarat on Sunday morning.
Brian and Chris Hardaker will arrive in Ballarat as part of their trip around Australia on a three-wheeled motorbike raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Brian is currently recovering from an extensive battle with Leukaemia and planned the journey to raise money to support others battling the disease.
Starting in Mandurah, Western Australia on 1 April, Brian and Chris are now on the home stretch of their tour and will arrive back in Mandurah on 2 July after crossing a mass of territory including Broome, Darwin, Alice Springs, Sydney and Melbourne.
Councillor McIntosh said it would be an honour to meet with the pair and welcome them to Ballarat.
“We are so pleased that Brian and Chris will be stopping in Ballarat. The feat that they have undertaken is to be admired and we’ll be looking forward to speaking to them about their journey so far”.
Brian and Chris will arrive at the Town Hall at 10am on Sunday 12 June. Members of the public are welcome to come along and offer their welcome and support.
