Emerging bands from around Ballarat will compete for a place in the Victorian Battle of the Bands regional final tomorrow night.

Presented by the City of Ballarat, B You and FReeZa Sonika, the Push Start Battle of the Bands Ballarat heat will bring together the region’s hottest young artists. 

Push Start heats are run across Victoria from January to August each year. The winner of each heat will go on to compete in a regional final between October and December.

The nine regional final winners will then compete at the FReeZA Push Start Grand Final at The Push's annual all ages music festival Push Over on the Labour Day long weekend, 2012.

FReeZA Push Start Grand Final winners receive a major prize including recording, mastering and publicity.

The Ballarat heat will kick off from 5pm at the Karova Lounge. Entry is $6.
